The Table with the highest Total Bid goes first!

  • Pass the bid sheet to each person at the table. Each bidder places their bid for dessert.
  • Select a "Dasher" to dash for your dessert.
  • When it's time for dessert, tables will be called out in order of highest to lowest TOTAL bid. For the best dessert choices, make sure your table bids high!
  • Your "Dasher" should be ready to DASH fast to the dessert table to pick your dessert—they will be closely followed by the next highest table number, so they need to move and decide quickly.

Remember:  The more $ your Table Bids, the more choices you have for dessert!

Crown2_thumb

This lovely rustic flower crown is made up of a wonderfully rich, delicate mix of small ivory daisies, coral red blossoms, small deep red roses and little sky blue flowers. Bits of wild seeds and berry sprigs, give it a fresh picked wildflower vibe. These olive green leaves and soft colorful flowers all attach to a natural bark covered wire that is strong yet flexible, so this piece can be molded to the exact shape of your head. The interior is carefully lined with eco felt, so it is soft to wear, sits firmly in place, and offers an heirloom finish. The two ends join together in the back, with a long satin ribbon. All of the elements in this piece are artificial, so it can clear any countries' customs, and will last a lifetime!

Solareclipse2017_event_oregon_thumb

On August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse will cross the contiguous United States for the first time since 1918. The total eclipse will traverse a path from Oregon to South Carolina over a period of about 90 minutes. Potentially 325 million inhabitants within the contiguous United States, Alaska and Hawaii, could experience this celestial event as either a total or partial eclipse. Millions more throughout North America, parts of South America, Africa, the Pacific, and Europe will also be treated to a partial solar eclipse. Communities, organizations, and citizens have been preparing for years for this occurrence and Organic Earthly Delights is privileged to be a part of it.

Experience The 2017 Total Solar Eclipse

Are you looking for the best place in Oregon to experience the 2017 solar eclipse on August 21? We have you covered. Madras, Oregon is one of the best places in the United States to see the 2017 total eclipse because of it’s location during the traverse, as well as its weather in this part of Oregon! With such a rare event, it is no surprise that thousands of people are interested in experiencing the eclipse beyond seeing it on the news. Since Madras Oregon is one of the best locations to view the solar eclipse, hotel and viewing space has become a challenge. That’s why we have created a solar eclipse lodging option that will ensure you and your family front row seats to see the 2017 total solar eclipse in Oregon.

Solar Eclipse From Madras, Oregon

Duration of totality is 2 minutes, 4 seconds. Totality begins at 10:19 a.m. PDT

While the Oregon coast is at risk of marine clouds, the interior of this state actually enjoys the nation’s best weather prospects. Madras is easily accessible from Portland with a two-hour drive and sits at the junction of four highways for good mobility. A bonus is the prospect of seeing Mt. Jefferson to the west darken as totality envelops this prominent peak 17 seconds before totality in Madras. More at http://www.greatamericaneclipse.com/oregon/.

Arch2_thumb

Arch Within Arch is my impression of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial in St. Louis, Missouri.  The 630' tall stainless steel catenary arch, like the Eiffel Tower, can be seen from almost any vantage point in the city. Yet to my eye, it looks somewhat out of place - modern minimalism arbitrarily plopped on the historic riverbank.  Placing it within the brick arches of the subway station created a more harmonious framing that referenced both the old and the new city structures.  When I visited, the arch was surrounded by construction projects.  Access was limited to one winding sidewalk, although at first glance it seemed as though it was completely walled off by equipment and trenches.  Seeing it through the hole in the wall best captured my feelings at the time.

The archival pigment print is 11" x 14" +/- printed by myself in my home studio.  I selected Hahnemuhle Fine Art Photo Rag Pearl, a natural white, 100% cotton, buffered paper with no optical brighteners.  The print is signed and dated.

BarkZone provides dog daycare, boarding, grooming, training, walking, and courier services all within comfortable (and dry) indoor facilities!  Why bring your dog in for daycare & boarding? Simply put, dogs love interaction. Save the Bees!  Your Bee Basket includes 2 tickets for a bee yard tour in late spring/summer 2017, one jar of raw pure PDX honey, one jar of quince spread, and 2 beeswax ornaments, and a DVD of the Queen of the Sun movie.

Brian Lacy, PWS Alumni Dad and owner of Urban Bees & Gardens, has been working with bees for over 40 years. What he does:

  • Rescue bees from limbs, attics, wall spaces and trees.
  • Teach about bees in schools, homes and organizations.
  • Offer easy-use bee homes and gear, often original designs.
  • Lead bee and gardening projects.

QUEEN OF THE SUN: What Are the Bees Telling Us? is a profound, alternative look at the global bee crisis from Taggart Siegel (PWS Dad), director of THE REAL DIRT ON FARMER JOHN. Taking us on a journey through the catastrophic disappearance of bees and the mysterious world of the beehive, this engaging and ultimately uplifting film weaves an unusual and dramatic story of the heartfelt struggles of beekeepers, scientists and philosophers from around the world including Michael Pollan, Gunther Hauk and Vandana Shiva. Together they reveal both the problems and the solutions in renewing a culture in balance with nature.

Preserving Nutrition Through Tradition

To make superb whole grain flour, no modern technology can match the Old World engineering of a stone mill. Our beautiful stone grinding mills are much like the ones used during early Roman times. Unlike high-speed steel rollers, our quartz millstones ensure the most nutritious parts of the whole grain remain, so we can pack wholesome goodness right into your bag. Because the millstones grind at a slow speed and cool temperature, the inherent nutrients and flavor of our grains are preserved, a production 'secret' that allows us to seal in the freshness and bring you wholesome, quality foods, just as nature intended.

Our Whole Grain Store

Come see the whole grain magic making for yourself in Milwaukie, where you can tour the Mill, shop at the Whole Grain Store & Bakery, and eat at our Restaurant! Bold Coffee Roasters 1 lb. bag of Organic Sumatra Coffee Beans, made in small batches, smooth & dark, air roasted, no bitterness.

Dark roasted coffee doesn’t have to taste bitter or burnt. We air roast it in small batches, and get it to you right away because we think coffee beans should be ground and brewed immediately after roasting. Sip it or chug it. Drink it morning, noon or night. We don’t care—we just love the stuff. And so will you.

WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH AIR  ROASTING? Most Roasters don’t do it because you can’t do big batches like you can in a drum roaster. But the sweet thing about air roasting is that chaff (the super thin shell that sloughs off during roasting) is caught in a filter instead of staying in there with the beans. The chaffe is what makes it taste bitter. So by small-batch, air roasting our beans we get a smooth, dark roast that doesn't taste burnt. Pretty sweet.
